If you want to go to a family pub with average food and staff serving a naked man accompanied by a naked woman then this is for you. Sarah L, from Birmingham, added: “Appalling. Locals who frequent the pub apologised to us, but the staff seemed to think this was okay. If you advertise as a family pub you should maintain these values. Unfortunately another family was not able to as they had already ordered food. “We decided to leave the pub and find somewhere else for dinner in town. There were several families with children in the pub, including ourselves, therefore it was not appropriate for them to be served. “We expected the bar man to refuse to serve them. Whilst ordering drinks a couple walked up to the bar naked which was a shock for all in the pub. Her review in full said: “We visited the pub this evening (Friday) at 6pm to have dinner. Reviewer Margaret Lishmund called it ‘very disappointing’ and ‘not appropriate’ for the couple to be served. However, it was not just Diane who was put off by the incident. “As a father myself with young children, I didn't see any issue or threat, thankfully most of the customers were fine and inquisitive, it's a shame to let this put you off our great food, customer service or staff who work so hard.” We checked the laws and regulations and there was no reason to say no. His response in full said: “We were contacted by a lovely couple, who happened to be naturists, who politely asked if they would be allowed in. Stating that the majority of customers were ‘fine’ over the incident, the manager called it ‘a shame’ that the customer would not return to the pub again. The manager disputed the issue that upset a number of customers and clarified that it’s not illegal to be naked in a pub. As other people have said, staff seemed unconcerned.
